FLOTUS is designed for Inland waters. This could be built
and installed miles away from shore as well but I guess as depth increases the
cost, complexity and safety measures increases which might sometimes result in
compromising the beauty or freedom of visitors to enjoy the place without
having to worry about any dangers.
This is best suited for inland waters. Major aim is to have
this completed with a minimum cost yet get the best aesthetic looks. Having
installed in Inland waters/Rivers/Lakes overcomes the major stability issues
that we might face in sea waters that in-turn reduces the structure
complexity
In simple: Bird's
eye view of the facility should look like a "Floating
Lotus".
The stem, elevated (Backbone) is made of steel, and petals stretching out, also we can see how to reach the top of stem from shore, from where one can move to their respective Nests. The connecting bridge will be made of wood as depicted below.
The petals will be so arranged that a top view of the entire facility looks like a LOTUS floating. Hence the "FLOTUS"

Planned Nests where visitors can have their light moments spent.
This project has been developed keeping in mind aesthetics and also project cost. Theoretical first cost estimation made for entire projects shows it can be easily materialized with a very reasonable budget. As only stem and petals are made of steel, Bridges (Bamboo) and platforms are to be made of wood/GRP. Nests are made from Bamboo.
People can visit the place and spend their time on platforms(leafs) or also can opt to book a Nest for a coffee/Drinks/Dinner.
