Cambay Field, India

ONGC has made two oil and gas discoveries in the Krishna Godavari and Cambay basins, the Press Trust of India reported Wednesday, citing the company.

ONGC said it had notified the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons of a gas find in the Vygreswaram Southwest-1 well in Krishna Godavari onshore, producing "gas at the rate of 75,000 cubic meters per day and 3 million cubic meters per day of condensate," the PTI reported.

The Limbodra East-1 well in the Cambay basin encountered 11 meters of gross oil pay, the PTI reported the company as saying.

Separately, the PTI reported the company as saying it had spudded a first shale gas well, RNSG-1, in Ichapur village near Durgapur in West Bengal.
